Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Aircraft maintenance engineering is not a degree or a diploma course, but a training programme. On completion of the training, a license is issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
Duration : 3 Years
Eligibility : 10+2 with Maths, Physics, Chemistry with Minimum 50% Marks/
Diploma(3 Years)/ BSc with Maths/Physics/ Chemistry
During the training, lessons are imparted for service and maintenance of aircraft so as to ensure flight safety. A three-year aircraft maintenance engineering license training course is being offered by several institutes approved by the DGCA.Those who have passed the Plus Two examinations with 50 per cent marks in aggregate in physics, chemistry and mathematics or a three-year diploma course in any branch of engineering or B.Sc. degree holders after Plus Two with maths, physics and chemistry are eligible for admission to AME training courses. There is no gender discrimination in admission. Boys and girls can seek admission. This training course in rigorous and only a few institutes offer training on heavy aircraft and jet engines

B Tech - Aeronautical Engineering
Aeronautical Engineering is a branch of aerospace engineering and encompasses aircraft design, construction and testing of aircraft, missiles and spacecrafts. Aeronautical engineering uses the science of propulsion and aerodynamics.
The course curriculum of aeronautical engineering is made up of maintenance as well as design aspect of the present day aviation and aerospace engineering.
It prepares graduates with knowledge, problem solving ability, hands-on skills to enter career in the design, installation, manufacturing, testing, evaluation, technical sales, or maintenance of aeronautical/aerospace systems.
Career Propsects of Aeronautical Engineering
Aeronautical engineering offers a wide range of roles in research, design, development, testing, manufacture and maintenance. Many engineers specialise in a particular area such as propulsion, computational fluid dynamics, aerodynamics or materials and structures. You have the option to work as a structural designer or gain expertise in navigational guidance and control systems or specialise your work on a particular product such as a war plane or space missile etc.
