Bachelor of Dentistry (BDS)
Bachelor of dental surgery (BDS) degree is awarded at the successful completion of four years of study and one year of internship to the students as per the old regulations of Dental council of India. According to new regulations, the BDS course comprises of five years with no internship period. The aim and objective of the Course is to produce a dentist who is socially acceptable and is able to work safely and effectively on patients in diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and oral disease. Syllabus / Curriculum
The BDS Curriculum is divided into Four (4) years of studies and 1 year of compulsory internship. Master of Dental Surgery(MDS)
MDS is Master Degree in Dentistry of 3 years duration after BDS.The Admission to merit quota is based on P.G Entrance test conducted by Medical commissioners.Deemed Universities like Manipal University and Vinayaka Mission Universities are conducting own entrance examinations every year at major cities in India.
